    We continued the 1,000 Trees Initiative to preserve Buellton's natural beauty while expanding our urban canopy.

    ☆ Tree City USA Recognition

    Buellton earned recognition as a Tree City USA community, demonstrating our commitment to responsible stewardship, beautification, and long-term investment in our public spaces.

    Dark Sky Ordinance

    We adopted updated outdoor lighting standards to protect Buellton's beautiful night skies, reduce light pollution, improve neighborhood quality of life, and conserve energy while maintaining public safety.

  • Improving Parks, Recreation & Accessibility

    ☆ Santa Ynez River Trail

    We partnered with regional agencies to move the Santa Ynez River Trail forward, bringing us closer to a continuous walking and biking trail connecting communities throughout the Santa Ynez Valley.

    ☆ Communication Boards in Our Parks

    We installed communication boards in city parks to make play more inclusive for children with communication challenges, helping every child feel welcome and connected.

    ☆ The Children’s Museum & SYV Aquatics Center

    We invested in the future of our children by supporting both the Santa Ynez Valley Children's Museum and the future Santa Ynez Valley Aquatics Center.

  • Strengthening Our Community

    We proudly recognized Pride Month, Disability Pride Month, Veterans, Teachers, and other community observances through proclamations and partnerships that celebrate the diversity and welcoming spirit that make Buellton such a special place to live.

    ☆ Bringing Lost Pets Home Faster

    We brought public pet microchip readers to Buellton, making us the first city in Santa Barbara County to offer 24/7, self-service scanning stations.

    ☆ Welcoming New Neighbors

    As new neighborhoods such as Polo Village and the Village Senior Center welcomed their first residents, we worked to ensure they had the support they needed to make a successful tranisiton to our town.

    We continue supporting community traditions like the Farmers Market and the Flying Miz Daisy Vintage Market.
